Rosacea

Some years back I was diagnosed with Rosacea.  It happened when I went to a dermatologist on a completely unrelated matter.  She looked at me and said, "Your skin is in such good condition...For your age".  I had just turned 40.  And then she used the Rosacea word. For a long time I thought that red junk around my nose and mouth was a "healthy glow".  More likely a negative reaction to the cosmetics and face soap I was using.

I was initially suckered in and purchased the $50 dollar foundation which was guaranteed to not cause the red stuff.  While it was lovely and had a great sunscreen built in, the price tag kept it from being a repeat purchase.  I switched to Cetaphil for cleansing (I don't like the regular formula, I use the Normal to Oily one).  The Doc recommended this brand and because it was something she suggested AND could be bought at Walmart, I thought it must be good.  I would have been *suspicious* had in only been available from her office (like the foundation).

But the red stuff is back.  When I posted the photo below of my teeth, you can see the red.  I am still using the Cetaphil but have switched to a more affordable drug store foundation.

What to do...what to do.

How does a PlainJane deal with Rosacea?
