A hard water stain cleaning product- and a good one!

We live in a hard water area. It seems like every where we have lived (since being married)we have been plagued by some menacing something or other. Living in the Seattle area we had the attack of the pink bathroom mold. Now it's the attack of the hard water stains. Blech.

Although not particularly *green*, I do have an aversion to harsh cleaning products that don't always even really work. Some that have promised to do the job have made it impossible to even breath while using. I want my kids to help me clean, but I don't want them to get cancer or such in the process.

So, the other day, out of desperation, I DIY - or rather, I DIM (did it myself) and made a superior cleaning product that does an admirable or even better job of cleaning our shower - the bane of my hard water stain existence.

The recipe - a hefty shot of dish washing soap (we are currently using the Costco Kirkland organic one or whatever it's called), a couple of cups worth of white vinegar, and warm water to help mix up the soap. All this goes into a reusable spray bottle.

I, frankly, was shocked after the first use. Three ingredients, no face mask required, and a very sparkly shower!

I'll never go back to chemicals again!
